The LVNBA and LVNBA Foundation co-sponsored the 3rd Annual Public Interest Law Film Festival on September 19-20, 2013. This year the festival “explore economic issues facing workers, businesses and communities as the nation comes upon the fifth anniversary of the Great Recession and the 50th anniversary of the War on Poverty.
“The third annual Public Interest Law Film Festival featured award-winning filmmaker Melissa Young, civil rights leader Ruby Duncan, Geoconda Arguello-Kline (Culinary Union Local 226), Ann Cammett (CUNY School of Law), Michael Ginsburg (PLAN), and Kimi Lee (Movement Strategies).”
The festival included four film shorts:

- “I Am Downtown” Series: The Human Experience
- Co Working
and three feature-length films:
- Shift Change
- Made in L.A.
- We Are Not Broke
