Sandra Douglass Morgan Named Interim North Las Vegas City Attorney
A native of Las Vegas, Sandra Douglass Morgan earned her Juris Doctor degree from the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV, and was admitted to the State Bar of Nevada in 2003. Ms. Douglass Morgan’s primary focus is civil litigation, transactional and development matters, where she drafts and negotiates agreements on behalf of the City of North Las Vegas. Ms. Douglass Morgan also provides legal counsel and assistance to the City Council, Planning Commission, and City of North Las Vegas departments and boards.
Currently, Ms. Douglass Morgan serves as the Chief Deputy City Attorney for the City of North Las Vegas. Ms. Douglass Morgan is also the Community Service Chair of the LVNBA, the Vice President of the Olive Crest Regional Board of Trustees (Nevada), a Volunteer for the State Bar of Nevada Young Lawyers Division, and Parliamentarian for the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Theta Theta Omega Chapter and the Las Vegas Chapter of the Links, Inc.
Ms. Douglass Morgan was honored as one of the National Bar Association’s Nation’s Best Advocates Under 40 in July 2012 and as the Las Vegas Chapter of the National Bar Association’s Attorney of the Year in October 2012.
