Town Hall: After Trayvon Martin

LVNBA members Assemblywoman Dina Neal (far left) and Senator Aaron Ford (far right) participated in the panel at “After Trayvon Martin: What Now?” together with Lieutenant William Scott (Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (METRO)), Laura Martin (Progressive Leadership Alliance of Nevada), unknown, and Pastor Robert Fowler (Victory Missionary Baptist Church).

The community forum was organized in response to the verdict to in State of Florida v. George Zimmerman for the killing of Trayvon Martin, to discuss the case and options going forward. It was hosted by the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc., including  and was attended by over 400 people, including LVNBA member Professor Rachel Anderson.  Event moderators included Michael Flores (Deputy Press Secretary & Community Liaison, Office of Congressman Steven Horsford, NV-4) and Adrian Hunt (Phi Beta Sigma and Las Vegas METRO).

The forum was held at the Pearson Community Center in North Las Vegas.
