James O. Porter

LVNBA Founder and Member James (Jimmy) O. Porter was inducted into the National Bar Association (NBA) Hall of Fame for serving long and gallantly in the pursuit of justice and equality before the courts of the United States of America.  Mr. Porter’s inclusion in the NBA Hall of Fame is recognition of his over 40 years of service in the practice of law and his significant contributions to the African-American community, civil rights, and the cause of justice.  Mr. Porter became a member of the NBA Hall of Fame at the 26th Annual Hall of Fame Luncheon, which was held at the 2012 NBA Annual Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada.
